Now onto the video…

Star of the new CW series Life Unexpected actress Britt Robertson stopped by to talk about her role as Lux — teenage girl who is put up for adoption as a baby and eventually finds her birth parents when she seeks emancipation.

After spending her life bouncing from one foster family to another, 15-year-old Lux (Robertson) has decided to become an emancipated minor. Her journey through the legal maze leads Lux to her biological father, 30-something Nate “Baze” Bazile (Kristoffer Polaha), who lives like an aging frat-boy and is astonished to learn he has a daughter.

Lux is equally astonished to learn that her mother is Cate Cassidy (Shiri Appleby), a star on local radio, along with her boyfriend, Ryan Thomas (Kerr Smith). When a judge grants temporary custody of Lux to Baze and Cate, they agree to make a belated attempt to give Lux the family she deserves.

Life Unexpected airs Mondays at 9pm on PIX. For more information, visit www.cwtv.com.

Great LUX news from Zap2It’s Korbi!
filed in Uncategorized

Korbi is one of my favorite sources for Television information and reading this LUX Fan Q&A has given me hope that we will indeed see more from Britt and the amazing cast of The CW hit drama, Life Unexpected. So read what Korbi had to say about our darling show!

“Life Unexpected”: The best new series you’re not watching or, um, are you actually watching it and we just didn’t realize?

Hey Korbi, Thank you so much for supporting “Life Unexpected” with all your fun interviews and Q&As. It’s quickly become my new favorite show and I just really want to know how it’s doing in the ratings. I’m going to guess they’re not great. -Jenna
Last I’d checked, the show pulled just 1.8 million viewers Monday night (Feb. 15), but a show insider just shared some wonderful news with me. It seems that The CW’s decision to air the show twice each week is working out well for them. Apparently a whole new audience is watching the encore telecast on Wednesdays. If you combine the number of people watching on Mondays with the number of new people watching that same episode two days later, “Life Unexpected” has actually been averaging very respectable ratings. In fact, according to the network, approximately 5 million each week.

Can you tell us what the chances are of “Life Unexpected” getting a second season? If The CW cancels this show, I swear to you I will not watch the network again. -Magdalena
The CW, from what I understand, is quite proud and supportive of the show. Given all the critical praise it’s gotten, combined with the info I shared above, I’m going to guess that “Life Unexpected” will most definitely get a second year. This is simply my gut feeling, but it’s a thoughtful gut feeling. I truly think a renewal is in “LUX”‘s future.

Korbi, how did it go drinking with Kerr Smith this week? I can’t wait to see the video. -P
The most fun I’ve had on a Monday night in some time. Maybe ever. He brought Austin Basis (Math) with him and we, well, celebrated. Yep. Check back Monday for a glimpse into what went on… [Source]

I love the bit about the show collectively getting 5 million viewers in total from the weekly episodes, the original on Monday night and on Wednesday that episode is repeated. Tht is indeed good news!
